No Place For Traitors

Exhibition

This temporary exhibition explores the postwar use of Kamp Amersfoort as an internment camp, focusing on the moral and ethical dilemmas that emerged after the liberation of the Netherlands in 1945. As Dutch society sought justice for collaborators while attempting to prevent acts of revenge, former concentration camps were repurposed to detain suspects, often under similarly harsh conditions. This blurred the line between victim and perpetrator, forming the exhibition’s central theme.
